Macaw Conservation in the Amazon Rainforest - held via Zoom
Date: Wednesday 19th June 2024 7.45pm
Talk by Hugo Cliff and Eduardo Nycander from https://www.wiredamazon.com/. Hugo and Eduardo will join us from Peru to talk about their work to prevent extinction of macaws in the rainforest.
These beautiful birds rely on the oldest and tallest trees in the Amazon for their breeding sites. Unfortunately these trees are the ones most at risk from illegal logging. They will tell us about their work on artificial nesting sites to enable breeding to continue.
Join this seminar to learn about what vets can do to help - sponsor a nesting box? or take a sabbatical to join the research and nurture baby birds - are you up for this ?!
Due to the high risk of technical issues when live streaming from the Amazon, this presentation has been prerecorded. However, both Hugo and Eduardo will be present on the evening to introduce themselves and answer any questions delegates may have.
This talk is being run free of charge for all WCVA members.
**Please enter delegate name(s) and email address(es) in the note to seller box when booking. Zoom link will be emailed to the address(es) provided**
