BVA Senior Vice President talk

Talk by Simon Doherty BVA Senior Vice President. Simon is a veterinary surgeon with a keen interest in global livestock health, welfare and preventative medicine; in particular, the design of new and improved vaccines - for farm animals and aquaculture. He is interested in sustainable agricultural production and food security - within the British Isles and abroad - and is a Certified Cow Signals Advisor. He is a Trustee and Ambassador for the livestock development charity, Send a Cow, and provides strategic technical & veterinary support to a number of their initiatives.
Simon graduated from the University of Glasgow veterinary school and has represented the profession at a variety of levels - but with a particular focus on issues relating to veterinary education, transition from undergraduate training into professional life, support for veterinary surgeons, and the approaches of the devolved UK administrations to matters of animal health & welfare.
This is a joint talk with the Cornwall Veterinary Association.
