Help! I've got to go and see an Alpaca!
Date: Wednesday 30th June 2021 7.45pm
Talk by Claire Whitehead BVM&S MS DACVIM(LA) FHEA MRCVS.
If you’re in large animal practice in the UK, it’s highly likely that you’ll be asked to see South American Camelids. It is important that vets familiarise themselves with the species, their anatomical and physiological differences, and the diseases affecting them in order that an acceptable level of care can be provided. Alternatively, knowing when and where to seek help in the case of problems is vital. This presentation will provide an introduction to some of the most important clinical presentations affecting camelids including parasite problems, anaemia, neonatal sepsis, dental problems, skin problems, and colic.
Held via Zoom.
