BVetMHed MSc DVM&S MRCVS, APHA Veterinary Director. 35 minute talk with 10 minutes for questions.
8.45pm - 'Pig Welfare Code: what all vets need to know.' This presentation discusses the updated sections in the new pig welfare code which comes into force in March 2020.
More generally it considers the developing social context of animal welfare codes. This includes the role of APHA, other organisations and the veterinary profession in regulation and enforcement of welfare legislation and advocating for better animal welfare.
This presentation aims to be of interest to all vets who want to be better informed about this key area of animal welfare.
